Recent Promotions at MSA

We are thrilled to announce several recent promotions on our team!

Matt Wagner, Chief Program Officer
Matthew Wagner, Ph.D., serves as Chief Program Officer at Main Street America (MSA). In this role, he is responsible for driving MSA's field service initiatives including the development and delivery of technical services for Main Street America and Urban Main programs, directing MSA's research agenda, as well as the recently launched New Business Development work to focus on national partnerships, brand leveraging and new business growth areas. John Chomiak, Chief Financial and Administration Officer

John Chomiak has over 30 years of financial management experience of non-profit and for-profit organizations. At MSA, John oversees the MSA's finances, including department leadership, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, board reporting, and audit management. John is also responsible for managing MSA's administrative functions including IT systems, real estate, HR relations, and parent company reporting. Learn more.

Norma Ramírez de Miess, Vice President of Revitalization Services

Norma Ramirez de Miess serves as the Vice President of Main Street America’s revitalization services, leading the delivery of technical assistance that helps communities build, grow, and sustain successful revitalization programs across the country. She offers over 20 years of direct leadership experience in downtown revitalization and nonprofit management and an inspiring passion for the value of Main Street in comprehensive community economic development. Dionne Baux, Vice President of Urban Development

As Vice President of Urban Development, Dionne Baux plays a key leadership role to expand technical service offerings to neighborhood commercial districts, lead the retention and growth of UrbanMain (UM)/Main Street America City Coordinating Programs, the UM Network and designated UM districts. Specifically, Dionne works to build economically vibrant neighborhood commercial districts and community leaders through the Center’s UM 4-point Approach. Learn more.

Rachel Bowdon, Director of Marketing and Communications

As the Director of Marketing and Communications, Rachel Bowdon leads the planning, development, and implementation of MSA's overall and programmatic marketing and communications functions. This includes overseeing digital content and creative strategy, planning and development of signature publications, and serving as Editor in Chief of State of Main. She also directs special campaigns to raise the profile and grow awareness of the Main Street America movement. Learn more.
