Allied Member Spotlight: Rokusek

May 15, 2018 | Allied Member Spotlight: Rokusek |

Our Allied Network is made up of companies and consultants that provide products and services related to downtown revitalization and economic development. Whether you specialize in market analysis, architectural design, beautiful event banners, or state of the art park benches, Allied membership provides you with an invaluable way to promote your goods or services to the Main Street America network.

Here's a Q&A with Rokusek, a creative communications firm that specializes in consulting, brand strategy and custom development.

How long has your business has been around? 29 Years

Where are you located? Quincy, Illinois

What is the most rewarding aspect of working with Main Streets?

The most rewarding part of working with Main Streets is seeing the impact their success has on the entire community. We love working with organizations that do so much good for the entire community.

What is the biggest change you’ve noticed since you first entered the industry?

The biggest change we have noticed is the shift from Analog to digital. As technology has evolved, our industry  had to shift to continue to stay with (or ahead) of the curve. Tailoring communications and creating tools that can reach consumers where and when they want.

What’s the one thing you wish every Main Street manager knew about your  service?

That you don’t have to be perfect to start. Whether you are signing up for Maestro with no data or a spreadsheet with thousands of names, it’s okay. Even if you are coming to us with an idea for branding, you don’t have to have all the answers to get started.

Name the funniest or craziest experience you’ve seen in a Main Street?

Too many to count, but any time we get to spend with Main Streeters always leads to laughs.

What is the biggest challenge you see facing Main Streets today?

One of the biggest challenges facing Main Streets is the ability to utilize their data to make the case for their organization. Main Streets have great stories to tell, and usually lots of successes, but we don’t always do a great job of tracking and bragging about the ROI we produce.
