Round Two: Cultivating Place on Main Crowdfunding Challenge

Thanks to generous support from Anne T. and Robert Bass, eight Main Street America organizations have been selected to participate in Round Two: Cultivating Place Crowdfunding Challenge, in partnership with ioby. This round of crowdfunding was available exclusively to Main Street communities in the states who participated in Round Two of the Cultivating Place in Main Street Communities training program: Wyoming, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Michigan.

Each organization will receive a $3,400 matching grant toward the implementation of “lighter, quicker, cheaper” placemaking projects. Participants in this program will be connected to the crowdfunding experts at ioby, who will share training materials and deliver customized one-on-one fundraising support. While fundraising on ioby, donations to their campaigns will be doubled in real time, until the $3,400 cap in match funding is met.

Peruse the projects, donate if you’d like, and most importantly, get inspired by these real life placemaking ideas: https://www.ioby.org/campaign/cultivating-place-challenge-0
