Partners in Preservation: Main Streets

In 2017, the longstanding program will grant $2 million to preservation projects in commercial districts across the country.


Working Together

Started over a decade ago by American Express and the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Partners in Preservation program highlights the importance of historic and cultural spaces across the country through funding of preservation projects.

This fall, in partnership with the National Main Street Center, the program will focus resources and public engagement around Main Streets. Twenty-five downtown and commercial district organizations will compete in a public voting process to receive up to $150 thousand dollars towards a preservation project that makes a positive impact on their communities.
